Joe Kovacs is a Tax Law Specialist in the EO Technical Division of Exempt Organizations, Rulings and Agreements. He has been with them since 2009. He holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law and a LL.M. in taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, he participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. He has prior experience working at the United States Tax Court and the Taxpayer Advocate Service of the IRS. He works on a variety of cases and projects in EO Technical, including health care and international issues. He also assists, and provides training for, other functions in Exempt Organizations. |
