Mike Quinn has more than 35 years experience in military and government public relations. He currently is a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of South Carolina and Newberry College where he teaches undergraduate communications and journalism courses. Prior to his retirement from federal service in 2009, he served as a communications senior manager for the IRS and moderator for several video programs and other training products. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserve in 2002 after more than three decades of active and reserve military service. Quinn also is a partner in the media consulting firm of Norris & Quinn, a company that provides media consulting, video production and communications training services from locations in Cincinnati, Ohio and Columbia, S.C. Quinn holds a masters degree in mass communications from the University of South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising and public relations, also from the University of South Carolina. He also has been trained at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in advanced communication management. |
