Mike BanicSenior Director, Product Marketing Ethernet Platforms Business Group Juniper Networks With more than 16 years experience in the networking industry, Mike brings a practical understanding of how technology can solve business problems to his position as Senior Director of Product Marketing for the Ethernet Platforms Business Group (EPBG) at Juniper Networks and his leadership of the go-to-market efforts for Ethernet platforms. Mike joined Juniper from Peribit Networks where, as Vice President of Corporate Marketing, he led the company’s corporate communications, product and channel marketing, Web and e-marketing, and lead-generation programs. Peribit was acquired by Juniper in July 2005. Prior to Peribit, Mike was Vice President of Marketing at Trapeze Networks, a wireless network infrastructure manufacturer. He also served as Director of Product Management at storage networking firm Rhapsody Networks, which was acquired by Brocade Communications in 2002. Before joining Rhapsody, Mike was Product Line Manager at Extreme Networks, where he managed the introduction and product lifecycle for the full line of Summit stackable and the Alpine and BlackDiamond chassis-based switches. Prior to Extreme, Mike was a Product Manager at 3Com Corp for Ethernet switching. He has also held systems engineering positions at Synernetics, Fibercom and Artel Communications. Mike holds a BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. | |||
Chris SpainSenior Director, Product Line Management Ethernet Platforms Business Group Juniper Networks With more than 25 years of networking and telecommunications experience, Chris Spain brings pragmatic leadership to his role as Senior Director of Product Line Management and Technical Marketing for the Juniper Networks Ethernet Platforms Business Group (EPBG). Chris’ background in telephony and wide-area and local-area networking make him uniquely qualified to drive the development of Ethernet infrastructure solutions designed to meet customer requirements for converged networks. Chris joined Juniper in August 2005 as Senior Director of Product Management for the Service Layer Technology (SLT) business group. In that position, Chris led the branch and secure-router product teams that delivered a new family of market-leading product innovations and propelled Juniper to the Number Two position in the secure routing market. Chris accepted his current role in EPBG in March 2007. Prior to joining Juniper, Chris was Director of Marketing for the Cisco Systems Desktop Switching Business Unit, where he led the product management team for the Catalyst 29XX, Catalyst Express and metropolitan Ethernet products. Before Cisco, Chris held various positions at Network Equipment Technologies (NET), General Datacom, and GEC. Chris is a graduate of Coventry Technical College in England. | |||
