Teodoro Bottiglieri, Ph.D.

Dr. Bottiglieri earned a Masters and Doctorate in neurochemistry from the University of London. He is currently a principal investigator and director of the neuropharmacology laboratory at Baylor University Medical Center, Institute of Metabolic Disease in Dallas, Texas. His research program focuses on understanding the role of methylation, folate, vitamin B12 and homocysteine metabolism in the central nervous system. The research conducted in Dr. Bottiglieri’s laboratory has application to many disease states, including diagnosis of in-born errors of metabolism, vascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and depression. Dr. Bottiglieri’s has over 123 publications in peer reviewed journals. He has contributed to several textbooks and is the co-author of “Stop depression Now” Pengiun Putman, NY, 1999 & 2000; and “Homocysteine and Related Vitamins” Springer-Verlag, Paris, 2003.
