Streaming Port/Firewall issue

If your Windows Media player’s status is always on “Ready” or “Connecting to Media…” you can try to the following steps in Windows Media Player to correct the issue:

  • Click Start >> Programs >> Windows Media Player or Click Start >> Run >> type in wmplayer, click OK
  • Click Tools >> Options, then select the Network Tab (If the Tools menu is not visible,
    Press Ctrl + M)
  • Under Protocols for MMS URLs, only select the HTTP and deselect all other options then click Apply and then OK.
